Where do you shoot?

I use numerous, pre-scouted locations around Rhode Island for my sessions. A location guide will be provided upon inquiring!

What is your turnaround time?

Your final gallery will be delivered within 2-3 weeks from your session, but I always share some sneak peeks while you wait!

What should I wear?

Once you have booked your session, we can discuss styling a bit more in depth in regard to coordinating colors, accessories, textures and patterns. The best outfits are the ones that are most comfortable and representative of who you are. If jeans and sneaks are your jam, then you better come through in your favorite pair of denim and Chucks! Our sessions can be as casual or formal as you like. Stay true to you.

Can I have the RAW files?

I do not share any RAW or unedited images with my clients. I shoot hundreds of frames during our session and then narrow down your best images by culling out those that are duplicated, out of focus, the shots where you're blinking or desperately pleading with your dog to face the camera (unless it's funny- then it stays!). This is standard of nearly all photographers' creative process, just like any other art form. Trust that you will receive the very best images from our session in their enhanced and final form.

Is it okay to bring my dog?

Absolutely, YES! I love photographing dogs and encourage them to be included, if possible! If you’ve visited my portrait galleries, you can see that pups are regular participants in my sessions. I love all breeds and all creatures, so if you would like to include your dog, cat, horse, rat, pig, snake or tarantula, just give me a heads up upon booking. All pets must be leashed and I recommend making the appropriate arrangements to have an extra set of hands to care for them during our session.

Can you Photoshop me?

I use photoshop to enhance the photos we take by making necessary adjustments to exposure, color, contrast, sharpening etc. I will do minor retouching to flyaway hairs, blemishes, that hair elastic we forgot to take off your wrist, unflattering shadows, and distracting background objects. Altering a person's body is something I will decline from an ethical standpoint. My goal is to capture and highlight your natural beauty as you are, not alter your appearance.

Can I share and print my images?

Yes! We created our images to be loved, shared and displayed! Your package includes high resolution files with a release to personal printing and sharing rights. I also have a print and product guide if you choose to order prints through me.

Emily Stamp Photography retains copyright of all images.

What do we do in the case of inclement weather?

Being an outdoor photographer means being at the mercy of the elements! I am always keeping an eye on the hourly forecast and will make the decision with you the night before or morning of our session to reschedule. I only take on a limited amount of sessions per month which allows me the flexibility to reschedule our session to a nearby date if necessary.

What form of payment do you accept?

Card payments are accepted through Venmo, PayPal, and Square. Cash and checks payable to "Emily Stamp Photography" are also accepted. $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your session and will be invoiced to your email via PayPal at the time of booking. RI Sales Tax is applied to all packages and products.

What gear do you use?

For portrait sessions, I currently use a Nikon D750, Nikon 24-70mm 2.8, Nikon 50mm 1.4, and Nikon 85mm 1.4
